Chinese New Year and the amazing view at the Park Regis Kris Kin

Last Monday, I tagged along with my good blogger friend Mitzie Mee to a Chinese New Year Celebration at the Park Regis Kris Kin Hotel in Karama. I have always passed by this building and at times commented about its architecture to my Arki friends (i loved the grid like fenestration) but I never really went inside. Two of my friends who were looking for a venue for their wedding last year fell in love with their 19th floor, but never really finalized their wedding venue with them. If it weren’t for the prospect of Chinese food and good company, I wouldn’t have seen the beautiful interiors of the Park Regis Kris Kin Hotel.

We had the celebration at their 19th floor restaurant which boasted an amazing view of Karama, Bur Dubai, the Sheikh Zayed Road and even Deira. You can see even as far as the Emirates road from there. The beauty of the location of that building is that it is central to the old Dubai- Deira, Bur Dubai, Satwa and Karama. And the old architecture of those areas do not comprise of skyscrapers, so the view is without obstruction.

Mitzie mee gave a perfect review of the food  we ate and the hotel and the entire experience (which you can find here) so I’ll just share some pics I took with my trusty, state of the art, iphone camera. 🙂
